I
lost my boy Beau 2months ago. Not one day goes by that he is not in my
thoughts, even if it’s a flash. He has touched not only my families hearts, but
of so many others! He is one of the main characters in my Children’s books series,
“Patch Land Adventures”. He truly was a trooper! My illustrator and I had
decided a while back that book 3, would be that last of the series. I so am
glad that we had made that decision, since we lost our Beau this year. With
that said book 3 is dedicated to Beau, and his legacy will continue through my
books and the hearts of many. I want to
thank a friend of mine Sheri Shields for this thoughtful gift that she had put
together with this picture that I had taken of my son Preston, and Beau, watching
TV. I happen to look down, and there it
was, Beau’s paw on top of my son’s hand, a few months before he had passed
away. Wow! What a special moment I
thought! I quickly took my phone and snapped the picture that will forever be
in our hearts! The heart actually lights up, like ours does when we think of
our special boy. I hope he will continue to light up your heart as well.
“Always remembered, Forever Loved”.

The Loss of My Dog Beau
I am writing to share with you, that we had to put our precious Beau down last Fri. As you know he is the main character along with Preston in my “Patch Land Adventures” series. Beau was an amazing dog/family member. He took a little piece of my heart when he left.
Joey Manfre, and I, my illustrator/creative partner on the series, made the decisions a while back, that book three would be the last of the series. With that said, Book three will be me in memory of Beau. He will continue to live on, in our hearts, as so many continue to read the books. We love you Beau! Your legend will continue! Thank you for touching so many of our hearts, and being an inspiration for my Children’s books.

Sport of Motorcross
With all the great things and
commodore that goes along with the sport of motocross, it can also cause
some dangerous injuries. During practice runs on Sat. before the race on Sun.
Preston had a crash, and a Motorbike ran over his arm. Friends gathered helped
him up and then medics did their part. Thankfully he is okay, of course sore!
He did race on Sun. not his best race, not sure if he was there mentally! But
that's okay, because is doing well and healthy! That’s a blessing! Yes, he has
had other injuries in the past; I hear it's a part of the sport! As a mom, my
heart races every time he is on his bike. I have to say, these men and women in
this sport have to be mentally and physically ready! I have to admit, he has
had other injuries, in basketball, football, lacrosse. Myself, I have had them
just walking up the stairs. Lol. These groups of kids are great kids! We really
enjoy Preston’s friends on and off the track! & their parents are pretty
awesome too! Our puppy Roczen, enjoys it as well. Here is hanging out with
another puppy “Bullet” J
I love my kids and try to support them, as much as I can whatever their passion
may be.

Rememberin a Very Special Person
Sharing this every year with you,
gives me an opportunity to share my heavy heart! I know many of us have lost a
special someone! They call it the circle of life!
Although it’s been many years
since my mother’s passing, the memoires love, and pain are still there.
My mother never had the
opportunity, in the physical world, to see all of her children, grow into
adulthood, get married, have children, and what we call the journey of life.
You see, today is the anniversary
of her passing. This was written so many years ago, while missing here so.
“Remembering a very special person”.
“A person with lots of love in her, who would say goodnight
with a simile and awake with one that would brighten everyone’s day. She would
comfort me with love, laugh and cry with me.
Day to day she grew weaker and never showed any pain, she
smiled at me and said don’t be sad, it makes me sad. She suffered a lot of her
life and then the lord would not let her suffer anymore. She’s in Paradise
where she belongs.
Even though I miss her so she’ll suffer no more! That
special person is my mother.”
Mom I miss you! Mom Te quero mucho!
Love your daughter,
Carmen

Great review for book 3
Carmen
has written yet another powerful, fun-filled book about Patch Land Adventures!
Pirate’s Adventure is more than a story about children facing
challenges. It is a story about friendship, family, pets, and community,
and how these can work together to provide support and a foundation for our
children. It’s a book about strength, encouragement, as well as about
children and parents developing abilities to overcome or manage personal
challenges by sometimes learning to turn them into adventures. Each of us
has challenges; it’s just that for some, they are more visible than for
others. Bravo for Patch Land Adventures!
